This week we discuss the 1991 American psychological horror thriller film The Silence of The Lambs directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling, a young FBI trainee who is hunting a serial killer named "Buffalo Bill" (Ted Levine), who skins his female victims.
To catch him, she seeks the advice of the imprisoned Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a brilliant psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer.
The film also features performances from Scott Glenn, Anthony Heald, and Kasi Lemmons.
With 7 oscar nominations and 5 wins it is surprising - yet unsurprising - to say The Aussie had not seen this one. Did he love it or loathe it? Lots of amazing scenes to dissect - no pun intended! It's a powerful, engaging, thrilling movie and even 30 years later it still holds its own.
If you haven't seen it - watch first before listening.....if you dare!!
